(498 reviews) Overall we enjoyed our stay. However, with the temperatures being around 29c we found that the ceiling fan was not enough to keep the room cool. We tried sleeping with the balcony doors open but the traffic noise kept us awake as well. We were given another room which was a little better. Bathroom & Kitchen areas need refurbishing, our bathroom was very dirty in places. If you want hot food in the evenings then book the A la Carte restaurant. Restaurant & bar staff were very friendly and helpful. A good location, with 2 small supermarkets down the road but Funchal centre was too far to walk both ways.
