Great central location, beaches, restaurants and views were amazing

Welcoming and helpful staff, comfy beds, beautiful grounds and views and so much peace and quiet! We stayed in early April and the weather was beautiful but unpredictable (as usual in the Azores) and our room stayed a comfortable temperature the entire time without using the thermostat. The only change I'd make is more variety at breakfast and more opportunity to try the Azorean beef at dinner!

The breakfast was a perfect amount of choices to start the day. All of the staff at the front desk were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure my stay was good. I enjoyed the location, as it was easily accessible to the tours that I had booked. (I didn’t know, but the front desk can book tours for you.) Would definitely stay again on my next visit to Ponta Delgada

Everything was great

This hotel definitely earns 5 stars. The breakfast was very good with a lot of food choices in a cozy restaurant. Hotel on this island is a better option than a Airbnb due to no good restaurants that serve breakfast. All restaurants on the island start serving food at noon. The lobby is very nice with beautiful vases and other nice decorations. Near the staircase was a nice little library where you can borrow books. What I did not like is the AC. Temperature does not go below 19 C. I like to sleep with a temperature of 16C. I had to sleep with the open balcony. It worked only because I lived on a second floor. Hotel does not provide shampoo. Only soap is provided. Some rooms appear to be a way better than others. We had a big group occupying 3 rooms. The outdoor backyard is very large and nice. It has fruit trees with sweet fresh oranges. The hotel has a gym, spa, tennis court, and an outdoor pool which is not heated. There is a tiny pool inside the pineapple greenhouse but it is extremely overcrowded. The Japanese restaurant was ok but could be better. It was too overpriced and sushi were small. I also liked how we would receive little gifts each night like little sweets and even a poem.

It is located right near the center of the city, which means it is walking distance to many stores, restaurants and places of interest. The hotel is excellently designed to exude a sense of calm and relaxation at all times. The decor throughout the hotel is beautiful and very thoughtfully arranged with a great sense of colour, texture and a unique experience overall. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. They are great to even have a quick chat with. I loved the indoor and outdoor pool, with the dry and steam saunas. Very nice touch that I have not seen at other hotels. The food is excellent, very fresh and the chef(s) really are masters of their craft. I would highly recommend staying here.

Absolutely one of the best accommodations we’ve ever had! The hosts are incredibly welcoming and friendly! They’re helpful and have great recommendations for everything you could want to do on the island. First off, the hotel was beautiful and a piece of art in itself. The room was spotless! They provided towels for the shower and darker towels for the thermal pools. The breakfast was delicious and a great start to every day. We will absolutely be staying with them again on our next stay! Thank you again!
