Bellarine Peninsula Ski Holidays

I am not one to give a bad review, but unfortunately I felt the need write this one. The beds are so uncomfortable and need to be updated, includingthe pillows, very poor quality, I had 40 minutes of sleep all night. I was told I could checkout at midday (which was a big reason I chose this Hotel due to my wife needing surgery at a nearby Hospital) when I got there, the two men made me look like a liar and demanded I tell them the name of the staff member who'd had promised me this late checkout, which I did and he laughed and still didn't believe me, I got an 11:30 checkout but still not good enough after being promised my required time. Also, I paid $35 parking to which I had to go off site to park. They claim they have soundproofing to rooms but I heard my neighbours microwave going off at 3am, literally the selecting of time and the opening and closing of the door. Also, their "double glazing windows" are a joke, you can hear everyone walking in the streets and talking down there. My recommendation is to look for another Hotel.

Only had 1 light switch for all the lights. So the bedroom ceiling light was on when all the living/dining room lights were on. Also no dimmers, so glared bright lights or nothing.

Friendly reception staff, accommodated requests promptly. There was a slight issue with the sofa bed not being set up on the night I had extra guests I had paid for but it was rectified promptly I’m not sure where the breakdown in communication was as it had been arranged at check in. But was fixed quickly and with no issues. There was one day the housekeeper didn’t clean the glassware but overall the room was kept to an acceptable standard. Decent sized room shower over bath so if there was a mobility issue this could be a problem, however there are hand rails and I’m unsure if there is an accessible bathroom option. Did not access the restaurant as this appears to only be accessible via a few flights of stairs and this was inaccessible to me. No issues with nightclub sounds we were in the 7th floor so possibly why. Thanks for a lovely stay and a welcoming smile every day in reception!
