Heart of England Ski Holidays

The hotel is fine, but expensive for what we got. The rooms are tired and the carpet needed a hoover.

Breakfast was amazing! Staff was super friendly and accommodating! Only thing I would have liked was to have been able to get into my room a little sooner the morning I arrived, but I understand based on check out time that was not possible. They did a great job holding my suitcase and allowing me access to a bathroom to freshen up before my meetings for the day. Thanks Riu Westminster - I would recommend to anyone traveling to London.

Check in trainee staff member not helpful and quite rude. Room advised had Smart TV but it doesn't. Bed and amenities were good.

On the plus side 1) pleasant staff and 2) nice location with an easy walk to Marble Arch, Regents Street, Hyde Park, Green Park and Knightsbridge. On the negative side 1) overpriced compared to other similar properties I've stayed in in London 2) very small rooms. there was only room for one bedside table in the bedroom. it was very hard to maneuver in and out of bed. It was hard to open the closet which was very close to the bed. On the neutral side 1) room seemed clean enough 2) gym had a few pieces of equipment and weights but was in a windowless basement so not a big draw

Property was very very centrally located. The rooms are clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Any minor maintenance issues were promptly dealt with. The housekeeping staff were all amazing. Perfect for an extended stay

For checking-in, I was supposed to collect a key from a shop and was sent an address + a code to pick up from. They ended up emailing me the wrong address and/or code so I was unable to pick up my key at check-in time (3pm), I had contacted the support who then gave me a different code, which didn't work, then another different address, which didn't even exist. I then called up the support once again, from which it was escalated to a manager who AGAIN gave me the wrong address and/or pick up code. I only managed to collect my keys at 9pm (6 hours after check-in!) ONLY because the shopkeeper helped out UrbanChic's support as their support staff (all 3 that I talked to) were completely incompetent. It was bad enough to expect someone to collect keys from a shop (which wasn't stated before I paid for the place), but to email someone the wrong address and check-in codes + have the support not pick up my calls with no place to go along with my luggage ruined the whole stay, I missed my plans that I had to attend to that evening and was not offered any sort of compensation whatsoever. The property however was quite pleasant. Would recommend the property, would never touch UrbanChic ever again.

The rooms were NOT as advertised There was NO ONE to answer the phone or doorbell! The help when finally found was NO HELP and in fact rude! They would not give refunds for cancellation of stays even greater than 24 hrs out
