The location of Mani Apartments is an A+. It's right in the heart of downtown Reykjavik on a pedestrian street, with shops, restaurants, bars, and just about anything else you could want within a few minutes' walk. Our particular apartment was on the 4th floor and had plenty of space for our family of five. There were two bedrooms with three beds, a kitchenette, dining table, and a large couch. The picture windows were probably the highlight of the apartment, with a magnificent view of the water and mountains. Did I mention it's close to the bars? That convenience does come with some noise, and it was fairly loud well into the night. They clearly know this is an issue because earplugs were provided on every pillow. Speaking of pillows, our king-size bed only had two small pillows, which was a little disappointing. The bathroom was adequate, although there appeared to be a mold issue on part of the ceiling. The hairdryer also didn't work, but I will give management credit—they had a replacement to us within about 10–15 minutes. The refrigerator was unplugged when we arrived for some reason, so I had to plug that in as well. Overall, I'd give it an **A+ for location, A+ for space, A+ for the view, and probably a B- for overall condition**. Some things were a little worn, and the bathroom could use some attention, but none of that outweighed the positives for us. Overall, it worked out great for our family. Absolutely great. The pictures don’t do the property justice. Very spacious, spotless clean, totally fell in love with the floors. The sauna and tub were spectacular, got some amazing aurora views while relaxing in both. The neighborhood was great, with multiple stores like Bónus just a few minutes away. The owner was super friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

This was a lovely hotel in a great location. The rooms were very clean and the hotel had an elevator for access to higher level rooms.

Even though we were on the top floor in the diamond suites the room was extremely small and hard to have two adults and two small kids in. The fancy hot tub bath didn’t work, no bubbles. The room with the toilet was extremely small. Only stayed one night and we were woken up by a man working on the outside hot tub that also seemed to be busted at 7am! An unreasonable time to be banging on things right outside our window. The food was good at the attached restaurant and the place was charming overall. They could lay off the fake fragrance diffusers as they were all over the place and overpowering.

I only have one recommendation for the hotel. In the lobby, change the ringtone at reception. It is the default tone that immediately breaks the vacation mentality and brings one back to the normal grind of every day life
