Very comfortable stay, clean and quiet.

We had to have a discussion with the reservation staff to get a better room. We were assigned a first floor room over looking a parking lot. After some discussion and significant increase in room cost we were moved to a larger third floor room with a nice view of Lake Geneva. What is the point of staying at the Grand Hotel du Lac if you can’t see the lake from your room. The hotel had many large tour groups who swarm in and out fast. Our overall experience was very good it is a very elegant hotel with a very professional exceedingly friendly staff. Since it sits on the waterfront with easy access to lake front walking and many restaurants along the way.

Great location and friendly staff make for a wonderful experience. Breakfast was excellent and cannot wait to stay there again!

So close to main train station, not hard to find, was walkable with luggage, loved that it was in the old part of town

Great location in the Old Town and easy walk from the Train Station. Check-in is at a different hotel, Krone, but it is just a short walk away. There is an elevator, but be aware that the rooms are half a flight of stairs away from the floor, so you will have to navigate some stairs with your suitcases (2 stairs to get into the building and 6-7 stairs to get to your room). We had a large room with a small balcony overlooking the square and a view to the river (I think it was the only room with a balcony). We enjoyed having a coffee there watching the activities on the square. Lots of restaurants nearby. The room was a good size with a large jetted tub and quirky, albeit comfortable furniture. Would stay there again
