Pacific Coast Scuba Diving Holidays

It is a very big beautiful property with great restaurants/ food choices and snack stands near the pools. There’s a nice kids pool that is very shallow and has slides and water falls. It has a theatre with nightly performances, we saw a great 70’s Disco sing & dance performance. It has a night club for 18 years and over with a DJ, that was great fun. The Lobby bar is a great hang out place to chit chat, have some drinks and/or play jeopardy kind of games, or just watch a large movie screen showing concerts and playing great music. The only down side is being far away from the airport. It’s 45 minute drive. And it’s not near any walking distance stores or other restaurants. We visited during early August and it’s very humid, so we were uncomfortable most of the time. And could cool down only when we returned to our room. The buffet and restaurants were not cool enough. Only the Japanese restaurant was cool. We were in sweat the entire trip. The water temperature in the pools are warm, too warm for our taste, we wanted to cool down and couldn’t. I suggest going when it’s not so humid.

We visited Secrets Vallarta Bay after an incredible week at Secrets Puerto Los Cabos this spring. We do not have children and want to vacation in adults-only, all-inclusive destinations. I also researched many Secrets properties and resorts in Puerto Vallarta. Nothing prepared us for this experience, as I was unaware of what 'Dreams' was and we would be inundated with families during our stay. Room: Preferred Club members assigned to a dirty room on the 3rd floor by the elevators. Construction outside our door the entire time; the room was not clean when we checked in, and fixtures were falling out of the ceiling. Actual blood splatter on the bathroom wall. Food: Phenomenal. Except for the French restaurant. I preordered the soufflé and was offered espresso after a wonderful meal. The espresso arrived in a boiling hot cauldron that gave me a second-degree burn on my lips, straight from the microwave. The soufflé, well, that came over an hour after dinner was over. Avoid the wine room at Capers; you are required to buy a bottle. If you can, pack your own wine. Market Place breakfast was amazing. Pool: So much fun, but unsafe. There is no restroom wayfinding; I got lost and almost got hurt. Floors are always wet, and restrooms are not stocked. Activities are not coordinated well or announced, so we missed out every day. The no-reserving chair rule is unenforced. Landscaping was lacking. The pool needs to be repainted.

Great location walking distance to Malecón food was great tasted like home cooked Mexican meals … I’m a picky eater at resorts It’s not the biggest resort but the food is worth it compared to high end resorts

The staff were wonderful and attentive. Our concierge Elizabeth was welcoming and resolved every detail. Food was all very good (fresh, plentiful, many healthy and tasty options). We were given a premium upgrade which was amazing the truly outstanding Mole & Tacos à la carte breakfast. Housekeeping and property maintenance were impeccable. Activities director Anna made water aerobics fun. Enjoy walking the beach, swimming in the surf, lounging in the pool, or borrowing a kayak. Due to construction, one restaurant and some small areas were closed, but it was never crowded. At busy times, there were sometimes 5-minute waits to enter some restaurants. Overall, this was a fabulous stay. We enthusiastically recommend!
