The hotel offers a truly memorable stay, blending comfort with a distinct sense of character that sets it apart from standard accommodations. From the moment of arrival, the atmosphere feels warm and thoughtfully designed, with staff who are attentive without being overwhelming.

The rooms need upkeep but they are very clean. It’s no frills and reliable. The best part is its proximity to useful stores.

Used to stay here a lot years ago. It’s definitely a different experience now and sadly not nearly as special. The Bungalows are smaller and have lost their charm. They first put us in one in the back of the property that smelled really musty. I’m not sure if it hadn’t been used in a while or if it had mold, but the smell was so strong we had to move rooms. Second Bungalow just felt like a standard hotel room. No balcony, nothing in the minibar,.. Their answer to the musty room was to send someone over with a spray bottle of air freshener which he proceeded to spray around the room. This actually smelled worse than the mold. Super bummed. Used to be a great place.

My overall experience was mixed. While there were some positive aspects to my stay, there were several areas that I believe could be improved to create a more comfortable and welcoming experience for guests. At times, I found some front desk interactions to be less welcoming than expected, with staff occasionally coming across as irritated or dismissive. My room key/card also stopped working almost daily, which became frustrating and required repeated trips to the front desk. Another inconvenience was the lack of a microwave on the property. Having one available would have been helpful for guests who wanted to bring food back to their rooms and warm it up later. Privacy and discretion were also concerns. I had to repeatedly remind staff not to say my room number aloud. I also observed conversations regarding guests’ personal situations that did not always feel as discreet as I would expect in a hospitality setting. This made me uncomfortable. I believe additional hospitality and customer-service training could be beneficial, particularly around professionalism, communication, discretion, and creating a welcoming environment. It may also be helpful to have guest-facing staff who are personable, patient, and comfortable assisting guests without becoming easily irritated or dismissive. I’m sharing this feedback constructively because I believe these improvements could make a meaningful difference in the overall guest experience.
