Mojave Desert Pet-friendly Holidays

This hotel was good.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Platinum Hotel, and a huge part of what made it so memorable was the incredible kindness of the manager, Lindsay. I was in Las Vegas with my granddaughters for two BTS concerts and a visit to the Sphere. When we arrived, our original room wasn’t quite ready, so we went over to Tuscany for something to eat and came back later. What happened next was completely unexpected. Lindsay upgraded us, at no additional charge, to an incredible top-floor two-bedroom, two-bath suite with a huge kitchen, dining area and an enormous balcony. She told me she had been waiting for a nice family to give the suite to, and that she loved that a grandmother was bringing her granddaughters to Las Vegas for this special trip. But Lindsay’s kindness didn’t stop with the upgrade. When our travel plans became difficult, she offered us an additional night at the hotel at no charge so we wouldn’t have to worry. They even personally drove us to the airport. The Platinum is within walking distance of both the Las Vegas Strip and the Sphere, which made getting around incredibly convenient. The Platinum itself was comfortable, spacious and wonderfully located, but exceptional hospitality ultimately comes down to people. Lindsay went far beyond anything we could have expected, and she exemplifies what exceptional hospitality should look like. Room was dirty and someone had been smoking in it but they did however upgrade us to a suite and gave an extra $100 credit . The main problem was that I was unable to use some of my credits because Vdara and Expedia had miscommunication about this promotion. I had pictures about the special deal and credits that I was entitled to but at the end I was still shorted on my credits.
