Robinson Crusoe Island Pet-friendly Holidays

One of the most charming hotels I’ve stayed at in a long time, and a historic one too! It has the oldest operating elevator in Santiago and the architecture is stunning. The service is top notch, the staff goes above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Terrible hospitality and freezing rooms—avoid! Do not stay here if you expect basic hospitality. From the moment I arrived, there was zero welcome or orientation. No one escorted me to my room or explained anything. I was left completely on my own to figure out how to turn on the lights, locate the single hidden electrical outlet, and guess if the wine in the room was actually complimentary or not. The room itself was freezing. The windows are way too thin for the cold weather, there are no heaters, and trying to use the AC as a heater did absolutely nothing. Housekeeping is basically non-existent. They will only show up if you specifically demand it at reception, and even then, they just half-make the bed and take out the trash. Breakfast was just as bad. There is a very short time window, and the staff member managing it just sat there like a scarecrow. He wasn't welcoming, didn't speak English, and didn't even bother to offer coffee or eggs. The buffet was sad, literally the only vegetable available was tomatoes. For what this hotel charges, you expect a premium boutique experience. This was anything but. Save your money and book somewhere else.

An old mansion of the winery owners was converted to hotel. Old charm, excellent wines.

Buena atencion auque siendo mi cumpleaños, siempre voy en esa fecha, olvidaron completamente este año mi cumpleanos. no esperaba demasiaso pero si como en otros años una tarjeta manuscrita con algun mensaje y alguna pequeña atencion como habia sucedido en viajes anteriores. De alguna manera el ultimo dia la perdona encargada de los clientes del club dea cerco y muy gentilmente se disculpo despues de una pequena charla y al volver a nuestro cuarto alli estaba una lindisima tarjeta con unos bombones equisitos. Muchisimas gracias ! A veces la sensacion es que el Mandarin Orientad de la ciudad de Santiago no reune las expectativas del los clientes que conocemos la calidad de los mismos atraves del mundo. Creo que existen pequeñas cosas que se podrian mejorar. La habitacion en la zona club del hotel es muy agradable con vistas maravillosas sobre la cordillera, el salon àra el desayuno te y aperitivos es excelente con muy buena cualidad de productos y atencion . Seguramente volveremos y le volveremos a dar una nueva oportunidad para el año proximo!
