Hanko Pet-friendly Holidays

We loved, loved, loved this property. It is really close to the train station. It is an old building, with lots of charm, but well maintained and brought to modern standards. The staff were amazing, and are very proud of their little hotel and its history. If we are ever in Lillehammer again we would definitely make this our home base.

The breakfast buffet was not good

Had to ask for towels, bins and sheets to be changed. Rooms are not cleaned daily. Also the bedding was not clean on our arrival. Nice spa area. Nice breakfast. Pleasant front desk staff.

On a golf course & away from city traffic

Amazing stay. Would highly recommend.

Let's start with the positives. The staff vas helpfult and good. The breakfast was one of the best ones I have had in a hotel, but the deserts are just way to sweet, cut down on the sugar guys. The gym is very good and has everything you need for a nice exercise. The pool and sauna is nice but unfortunately very greedy and stupid to charge extra to use them. The hotel is already expensive and off location as it is, at least you should have the pool and sauna included in the price like every other hotel on planet earth, whats the point in visiting this hotel otherwise if you need to pay extra for almost everything except the room? Overall I would rate it a strong 3.5 because of the nice breakfast and staff.

Excellent breakfast choices and flavors. Clean rooms, quiet, felt extremely safe. Very polite staff, well trained, courteous.
