Lake Lucerne Kid friendly Holidays

Beautiful space, location is amazing, staff were super friendly and helpful, but I thought it was a non-smoking property and it’s not. All open air locations allow smoking, including balconies, the amazing outdoor patio, outdoor poolside locations, outdoor space on the lake, etc. I am allergic to tobacco smoke so unfortunately I found myself avoiding these spaces and would get nervous that someone would light up when I was interacting with these spaces. The food onsite was amazing, the spa and spa services were top notch, canoes and SUPs were free and available first come first served, and they offered an AMAZING complimentary breakfast each morning that was EPIC . There was free and unlimited tea and coffee 24 hours, a fizzy and still water faucet in the spa, and fresh apples provided right from the local apple trees! Even with all of this, the dominance of cigarette smoke onsite would make me think twice about staying here again. It would be great if they could have designated smoking areas rather than it being a smokers paradise. And as a designated wellness hotel I found it contradictory to allow smoking in every outdoor space. I do not want to smell smoke when I’m eating breakfast, need fresh air in the room b/c there are no A/C’s, or decide to go swimming after a relaxing spa service. And FYI, they’re doing renovations in front of the hotel, and it impacts the view overlooking the lake. Expedia does not inform you of this but the hotel website does.

Very relaxed easy wander into the town for boat and ski lift. Food excellent but check the prices first.

We were able to book a family room which was a great set up. However, floor one smelled of smoke in the hallways.

Room smelled musty, limited amenities at hotel and cleaning staff tidying room during stay but really didn’t clean

Staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast is delicious, location is convenient, rooms clean, showers amazing, beds comfortable. Could not ask for anything else. Thank you for a great stay for our first time in Switzerland.
