Booked last minute for a one night stay in a room with a king size bed. Room was great value, spacious, spotless and quiet. Shower and toiletries were excellent. View was nice. The staff were mostly really professional and friendly. However some of the team in the dining room seemed not to fully understand what foods contained gluten. Breakfast buffet was great for me but not as good for my wife, who is coeliac. While they made a good attempt to identify foods with gluten in, the layout meant the risk of cross-contamination was high. Reported directly to Riu, but no response or interest shown so far.

Great location and staff were friendly and helpful. Room left a bit to be desired. Furniture was tired, with chipped finishes, and the mattress was very uncomfortable - you could really feel every spring. The design of the bathroom also meant the water from the shower would seep out under the door and into the rest of the bathroom. WiFi wasn’t secure and could be accessed by anyone in the square outside.

Really great location! It was around the corner from paddington station, bus stops, a hospital and food shops. The hotel had everything we needed and it was well maintained. I would stay here again if I come back to London!
