I cannot say enough, about how wonderful marine Troon is. For starters, It is a pitching wedge away from Royal Troon golf club for the golfers in the crowd. The course literally passes within 50 feet of Marine Troon! The pool, hot tub steam, and sauna are lovely after a round! But, what makes Marine Troon truly outstanding is the helpfulness, courtesy, professionalism, and kindness of the staff! From the moment I walked in, Gary, Cameron, Grant, June, Nancy, Ethan — too many people to mention are fantastic! Strongly, recommend marine Troon when you find yourself in the area. And they make some delicious cocktails. Notably – the food was outstanding

Had an amazing overnight stay at Mar Hall for my wife’s 50th birthday. All staff couldn’t be nicer and the place was stunning.

This could be an amazing place to stay. The grounds are impeccably maintained and beautiful. Unfortunately, our room smelled musty and of tobacco smoke. We couldn't believe what we were walking into! We arrived late, otherwise we would have left immediately. My wife awoke in the middle of the night nauseated from the smell. The deck restaurant was understaffed and the food unimpressive. Deferred maintenance issues were apparent with the buildings.

We stayed in an accessible club double room. We liked the quirky decor in the hotel. There was pink algae on the tiles in the shower and on the shower curtain which really took away from the look and feel of what is an otherwise really nice hotel. The staff listened to our issue with the room but no options to move us to another one. The bar tender Ben in the cocktail bar was amazing. Very entertaining, he didn’t just make drinks he put on a show and got everyone in the bar involved. We would definitely stay there again based on the experience we had in the cocktail bar alone. The location of the hotel is great and very central.

We booked this hotel for a concert a bit off a walk from the station but easier for what we were doing later on . The hotel was spotless staff really friendly . Had everything we needed and all the little touches were great . Would definitely book again

This was our 3rd visit to Holly Tree. The room and facilities were spotless. We have always been impressed by the high standard of the bathroom fittings and separate bath and shower. Staff were helpful ,courteous and attentive.Food again was excellent and most enjoyable i.e.dinner ,especially enhanced by the wonderful view of the loch. Breakfast was good though fresh fruit was limited-- a minor detail !! On this occasion we didn't use,the spa and swimming pool though we have in the past and enjoyed the experience. We hope to revisit the Holly Tree again.
