This hotel building, carved into the stone, survived the 1693 earthquake and is over seven hundred years old.
Josepi, on his second day at work, was an enormous help in parking my car, which was a midsize MG SUV. He went over and above what was expected.
Breakfast was a joy with great staff, that would make you coffee exactly how I wanted it and kept it coming without having to ask.
Sparkling wine awaited you in the cavern-like separate sitting area upon arrival after a stressful drive, before checking in.
Linda and Eugenio gave us incredible service making reservations at restaurants for us and advice on visiting Modica, Scicli, and Ragusa.
Linda phoned a restaurant for me when I thought that I had left my hat behind. The atmosphere of the hotel more than made up for the somewhat tight quarters of our room which could be accessed from the street, or by going up a spiral staircase cut int0 the stone behind the front desk. Service at it’s finest.

This room was just okay for what we paid, the laminate flooring was not in great shape. The plus was the great balcony view, staff at the reception was very helpful in arranging a beach day. Very close to the main shopping and dining area. The room was clean and the air conditioning worked well.

Great rooms, great service specially from front desk staff, Angelique and Ambra…I think the best view hotel in all of Taormina and the drinks are just great…all in all a memorable trip!

The room was very nice, but being winter, it took a while to get warm
There were some snags that were resolved swiftly
There is no parking at the property, but there was free parking very close by, which for the time of the year it was no problem at all
