The hotel is beautiful and the view is absolutely stunning. You have access to a private beach club that isn’t crowded and was more appealing than any I came across in Capri, Positano, Sorrento, etc. A few things to note as an American tourist:
1) Service is not on par with 5 star British and American hotels. I’m not sure if this is typical of Italian hotels, so I could be out of place here, but I found the service subpar for price.
2) Proximity to Sorrento, Positano, and other cities. This is likely because we did not do enough research, but it is a bit challenging to get around. Not the hotel’s fault at all and part of the hotel’s charm is its seclusion, but we were a bit surprised by the price of private cars and the quality of the local train if you are looking to explore other areas. The local restaurant at the hotel is also a bit pricey if you are looking for lunch, dinner, etc. so maybe the best way is to rent a car.
Overall was a gorgeous hotel and would recommend to others. I just wanted to provide my perspective as an American tourist looking for something adventurous.
