The staff at the front desk didn’t tell us we had to use two elevators to get to our room. Frustrating figuring out on your own. Unless you want to hang by the pool, there is absolutely nothing to do at this hotel. There is no nearby town to walk around , only the hotel surrounded by beautiful wine country. Also it’s a harrowing mountainous drive to get to this hotel. The roads are barely wide enough for a small SUV.

What a gorgeous property. Spa options are amazing. The wine and port tasting was top-notch. With only one night, we really did not get to experience all of it. I would recommend at least two. Coming in September or October during the winemaking season would be fantastic. The staff was extremely polite and knowledgeable and helpful

What a lovely location in the Douro valley. The concierge was very helpful. The pool and amenities were all included. The food was some of the best we’ve had in Portugal so far.

The staff was super nice and friendly but the hotel needs to invest and improve the rooms and hallways. My air conditioning smell terrible and was getting me sick to the point I had to complaint and they came and cleaned it so it probably wasn’t clean for who know how long. The carpet at the room are terrible and smell moldy and the lighting in the hallways is terrible. If they upgrade these things this place would be a place I have return for sure.

Great hotel and great service. Amazing views of Duoro valley. But they have the worst coffee in the world literally. A shame they don’t think good coffee and a person that knows how to make it is important because that is one of the most understated luxuries in life. Starting your day with a great cup of coffee sets the tone for the rest of the day. What a disappointment.
