Maremma Coast Honeymoon Holidays

We had no water for most of the day… our first full day there. That means no flushing toilets, washing hands or showering. They said it was out of their control. However, for some reason, the showers in the spa were working. They were like the grungiest public locker room showers. Most of them weren’t working, and the ones that were were dirty, partially broken and did not have shampoo. The sinks and countertops in the spa were broken. Several of the other spa amenities were closed and the ones that were open were in disrepair. It was very challenging to figure out how to turn on and off the lights in the room. The food from the restaurant was not good. The signage getting in and around the resort was practically nonexistent…. And forget about it once it’s dark. I will say that the staff was very helpful and polite. However, when they asked how my stay was, and I mentioned having no water, they offered me no concessions- just said it was out of their control. I can’t believe I spent $650 for one night at a resort where I couldn’t even use the bathrooms or get a shower in my room.
