The hotel itself was perfect, especially the family room (we had a room for 5) which was spacious and clean. The staff were lovely. It was a 5 minute walk to the Midi train station and 15-20 minute walk to the Grand-Place, which was also very convenient. However, the area in which the hotel is situated is very dirty, with piles of trash in the streets. There was also quite a bit of loud construction in the area. We would not have felt safe walking back to the hotel at night in this area (and were specifically advised not to), which did limit our evening plans.

It was a great stay! But one thing was that the AC just couldn’t keep up with the heat experience we had during our time in Brussels when we were back to the hotel
