The room was a good size with everything required for a pleasant stay. We didn’t dine here in the evening as the restaurant was fully booked but the menu wasn’t very good so we were happy to eat at The Cracking Crab in Polzeath. We found check in & check out times a little inconvenient for a hotel-room wasn’t ready until 4pm and checkout at 10am meant breakfast was rushed. We enjoyed the breakfast service with the polite and attentive staff. The housekeeping was a little hard to come by - you need to request it which is fine but nobody told us! However the rooms were very clean. This is an old building which was not designed with AC and whilst we had a fan to keep noir room cool I think it could be inconsiderable in very hot weather. "Amazing views, very lovely staff, easy parking, very clean and comfortably spacious rooms. Only thing to note is that if the bar / restaurant is open and music on, and it's summer and you have windows open, it can get a bit noisy on the top floor. We stayed Friday and sat night so that might also make a difference. Parents were in room on cliffside below the restaurant and was much quieter there. Five stars easily even with this!"
