Room was not as advertised! TV was not working; they give you a run around as if it’s someone else’s responsibility.

We had 2 terrible interactions with staff at the front desk. The rest of the staff were lovely.

We had a mixed experience at the Outrigger. On the upside, the people are warm, kind and genuinely welcoming. Everyone is smiling and saying “Bula” as you walk past, which creates a really positive atmosphere. The kids’ club has a great range of activities and is cleverly scheduled to help parents and kids have a great time. The activities team are also excellent, creating an exciting atmosphere around the pool. Seeing a group doing the Macarena in the pool at 10am each day is awesome — they should be commended for the energy and enthusiasm they create among guests. The staff really set the tone and do a fantastic job. There are, however, opportunities to bring the facilities up to the same standard as the people. The amenities are starting to feel a little tired. The pool is very cold, and hot water for showers was in limited supply around 3–5pm, making showering kids challenging. The dining offering is another area with real potential. It’s not that the food is bad, but given the nightly rate, we expected the quality and variety to be higher. The resort is relatively isolated, so another restaurant or two would add significant value. There’s also an opportunity to bring dinner forward or offer an earlier family sitting — 5:30pm is a challenging time for families with younger children. Overall, an awesome team somewhat let down by tired facilities and a dining offering that could be elevated to match the quality of the outrigger team.

Our room was clean and tidy and the staff that cleaned the rooms were lovely. The issues that we did have were ; 1. that I reported a bedside table lamp as having an electrical fault on the second day. It was shorting out when I touched the switch. The reception sent an electrician, who agreed that the lamp was faulty and tried to fix it. When he couldn't fix it, he removed it and said the lamp would be replaced. It was not replaced during our 10 day stay, despite numerous calls to reception about the problem. 2. There was also a problem with water not draining properly from the shower, requiring us to block the shower door with a towel to avoid excess water on the bathroom floor, the toilet was not flushing properly and the sink was not draining properly. This was reported - a plumber did come out and said it was fixed, but it wasn't. After having no response to frequent requests about the lamp, we didn't bother reporting the other issues with the plumbing. 3. The hot water was not always hot, but only luke warm 4. The internet appeared to have issues of not working - which did cause an issue for me as I had to carry out business via the internet whilst I was on holidays. 5. We didn't think that the food at the main restaurant was as good as previous years. Just not as tasty 6. The reception staff were extremely slow when you were checking in and checking out. Fiji time, but still...

Loved the property, super friendly staff

I stayed in the reef Bure room which was insanely gorgeous with unmatched views with your own private beach access. Very spacious and clean on the far east of the resort. We were generously provided with many complimentary extras such as a buggy, minibar, 30 min massage and a bottle of wine waiting for us in the room. This resort is located on a natural beach so winds were constant since we arrived which was a little disappointing (mid September). Resort had many water activities to participate in when the weather was good like snorkelling, kayaking, jet skiing etc. I will say they’re are big on booking a reservation at certain restaurants and this is done by calling the front desk. Conveniently front desk will only answer these calls when they feel like it and if you decide to just show up to a restaurant due to this, be prepared to face attitude, salt face and lecturing about booking. Unfortunately, due to this system of deciding when to answer our calls we missed out on our massage. I was happy to pay for that regardless to extent the duration however no one wanted to answer. Resort is beautiful however I wish we were given a proper tour, we got quite lost our first night as we arrived in the evening we nearly made our way out of the resort with all the twists and turns, forget about directions or signs. You are on your own to navigate the huge property which the public can also access with cars and buses. Personally I wouldn’t return. I value experience 1st

The island itself is stunning. We were so impressed with how clean and new the snorkeling gear was. The food was good and all the staff were so friendly. Our room was in the sunset facing building, the view was unbelievable. We would definitely stay here again!
