A basic 4-star hotel, but clean with well-appointed rooms. The location isn’t ideal, but it’s fine for a one-night stay.

I stayed at this 5-star hotel in Sarandë, Albania, and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. The hotel itself is very big, beautiful, and has a lot of potential, but the management and organization are far below the standard expected from a 5-star property. From the moment we arrived, we noticed problems. We were given only one room card even though there were two people staying in the room, which is very inconvenient. The room also did not have a smart TV, only a basic television, which does not match the expectations of a 5-star hotel. The communication with reception was one of the biggest issues. Every time we tried to call reception from our room, the line was always busy, and we could not reach them when we needed help. We had to go downstairs every time to ask for assistance. When we asked staff questions, we often did not receive clear or accurate answers, which made the service feel unprofessional. For such a large hotel, having only one elevator is completely insufficient. Guests have to wait a long time, especially during busy hours. The hotel is not well prepared for the number of guests it accommodates. The breakfast was also a major disappointment and definitely not at the level expected from a 5-star hotel. The choices were very limited and did not offer the quality or variety that guests expect from this category of hotel. When the breakfast area becomes crowded, there are not enough comfortable places to sit, and guests may end up sharing tables

We made the horrible mistake of forgetting our passport at the hotel and thankfully the staff quickly recovered it from the room and headed off to a trusted taxi company ( nova taxi) which then delivered to the airport in time for departure. Thank you Sol Tropikal staff

The hotel is well situated if you want to stay in Himare. It is more quiet than city center and the beach is just a short golf cart ride. We found that the room could have been better. They are not renovated. The AC system is old and doesn’t work properly. It was hot in our room and the AC didn’t work well. We told the staff and they said that it is the way it is. No help! The bathroom are also super small. You can hardly bent in the shower. The pool is great. The breakfast is average. The beach is beautiful. The staff could be more friendlier and could smile more. The only staff member who was helpfull and always happy to see us was the golf cart driver! He is really nice. The others are nonchalant. I would try another hotel if I was to visit Himare again

If you want three star Benidorm on a five star package this is the Melia for you. A hotel loses its luxury title when it’s full of families and kids. It instantly diminishes the whole experience if you’re travelling as adults only. It might have good cuisine s d restaurants but when kids are running around and screaming that is NOT a luxury experience. Cheap music pumped through speakers pool side every day. Loud music played around the pool for water aerobics. And for some reason the Benny Hill theme tune being blasted from somewhere on the complex that was even louder than the music around the pool. Beautiful beach bar but we walked out after 20 minutes of waiting for the table to be cleared and to be served. The beach is beautiful but it’s polluted with permanent sun shades. Which means you cannot actually see the sea from the beach bar or take advantage of the absolutely stunning sun set there!!!!! There is no where to have a quiet drink without kids running around uou!!! If you want an adult only holiday there then they extort more money out of you to join the ‘Level’. Sorry this is just extortion. And if you don’t want an All Inclusive package such as the Level then tough. You simply cannot just pay to use the roof top pools like the Intercontinental Hotrl in Malta for example. This hotel is Melia by name only. Sorry but I cannot recommend this hotel if you’re looking for Adult only experience without the extra costs.

Nice staff, great location

Localisation inexacte, hôtel à 15 min de voiture du centre ville. (Nous l’avons notifié au personnel à voir si le changement de localisation a été fait) Belle vue de notre chambre mais salle de bain très moyenne (évacuation des toilettes, propreté, qui vieillie). Matelas vieillissant, se creuse. Petit déjeuner pas à notre goût, des produits avec une qualité pas au niveau d’un 4 étoiles. Personnel de ménage sympathique.
