Staff members were so nice

Good afternoon, I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding my recent stay at your property. I had a reservation for a King Suite, with check-in on September 6 and check-out on September 7. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing due to the hotel staff strike. Upon arrival, we were forced to remain in a queue at the entrance/ramp for approximately 2.5 hours before we could even access the property. This caused significant disruption to our plans and completely changed what was supposed to be a special experience. I had specifically insisted that my friend book a room at Woodbine, even though he had encouraged me to stay at Caesars Windsor. I ultimately agreed to the booking because I expected the stay at your property to be a worthwhile experience. Unfortunately, because of the prolonged delay at the entrance, I missed a private yacht booking at 6:00 PM at Toronto Harbour, as well as a dinner reservation at a restaurant where we had arranged private decorations. Both bookings were non-refundable, resulting in a significant financial loss and considerable disappointment. When we finally reached reception, we were told that we could cancel the reservation and receive a full refund. However, after already spending approximately 2.5 hours waiting at the entrance, cancelling the reservation was not a realistic option. We had already lost a substantial portion of our evening and had no practical alternative at that point.

I booked a non refundable stay since I was going in a few days. It said parking was available on site, and it’s not until after you book that you find there’s no available spots, so I was forced to look elsewhere, and drag my luggage around. That was very misleading, especially since they boast how rare it is to find a place to stay with parking on site. It was a key to my booking decision. The place was clean but the dishwasher was full, the oven looked like they sprayed the inside and lined with tin foil to clean, but never finished it. The shower had holders for soaps, but there was no soap left and no shampoo either. I tried to make coffee in the morning, but not even enough to make one pot. The pillows were INCREDIBLY thin, so extremely uncomfortable. Very good location though. We walked to the harbor for a boat ride. The CN tower, Aquarium, and Roger’s Stadium are all very close.

Great place to stay while visiting Toronto! When all you really need is a bed, this is the best bang for your buck. It is also very close to transit.
