Zell am See-Kaprun Fishing Holidays

This hotel was advertised as a modern 4* hotel. When we arrived, the receptionist was very helpful and accommodating but this is where the positives stop. The room was modern but the amenities were below average. 2 single mattresses pushed together to make an uncomfortable double bed, only 1 flimsy pillow per person. We looked at getting one of the pillows down from the bunk bed that was hidden in one of the cupboards but when we looked at it, the pillow was filthy. We booked a premium suite but the room did not live up to the expectations or photographs advertised. There was no air conditioning in the room. We had to sleep with the fan on and the window open but each morning we had to shut the window as the smoke from other guests / staff cigarettes permeated the room. We are both asthmatic and this has caused my boyfriend to become rather unwell. The balcony and furniture looked promising in the photographs. When we tried to sit outside and enjoy the Mountain view, we were unable to move the furniture to a more comfortable position as it had been bolted to the floor - not something you would expect from a 4* hotel. Overall, we were very disappointed with our stay and would not recommend the hotel to anybody.
