Outstanding stay at ECHIC Mercure International Hotel! Located right in the business hub, it was incredibly convenient for the Canton Fair, yet peaceful enough for family travel. The area around the hotel has plenty of great shops and places to explore. The front desk team was exceptionally warm and welcoming, making check-in fast and smooth. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and the thoughtful service throughout our stay truly impressed us. We absolutely loved everything. Will definitely stay again on our next business trip to Guangzhou!

Staying at James Joyce Coffetel Beijing Road Branch for my business trip was an excellent experience. It is conveniently located close to the metro station. The quiet lobby is ideal for short work sessions, and the complimentary coffee really boosts my mood. The guest rooms are clean and cozy with complete facilities. The 24-hour front desk offers prompt, professional and thoughtful service. It delivers great value for business travelers, and I will book this hotel again for my next business trip.

An incident involving your staff member, Iris, in the lobby on 19 September 2026 at approximately 11:30 p.m.
My girlfriend and I were stopped and asked for our room number, which we provided as Room 1821. As we proceeded to the elevator, Iris stopped us again and claimed that my girlfriend was not a registered guest. This was incorrect, as she was the person who completed the registration when we checked in.
I asked him to verify this with the front desk before preventing us from going upstairs, but he insisted that we go to the front desk. Once our registration was confirmed, he did not properly apologise and simply said that it was his duty to check.
I understand the importance of guest security, but the way this was handled was unnecessarily embarrassing and humiliating. I also did not see him questioning other guests in the same manner, which made us feel that we were being singled out.
The following morning, a hotel manager called me to apologise and asked to meet me personally. I explained that I would be late, but there was no further contact or follow-up.
I find both the incident and the lack of follow-up disappointing, particularly from an international five-star hotel. I would appreciate management looking into this matter seriously and providing a formal response.

This hotel is just beautiful. The cleaning staff and the breakfast staff are really sweet and helpful. The front desk staff were kind as well, but there was an issue: they did not have my reservation. I booked through Expedia and had conversations with the hotel through their messaging portal. However, they could not find my reservation and I was on hold with Expedia customer service for 1.25 hours. I won't get into that too much since I think it was a fluke, but the staff -- who don't speak much English -- did their best to try and help us. The bed is huge and comfortable, the bathroom and shower are awesome, and the view is very pretty. Lots of restaurants around -- we liked the Villa. Enjoy!
