(352 reviews) It was nice. Did have to request for our pool to be cleaned and the deccing wasn’t cleaned during our stay therefore made it a bit uncomfortable to use our private pool. Out shower was also full of leaves. Our room wasn’t cleaned for 2 days although we left the sign on the door requesting for it to be done. After speaking with reception the finally did clean our room. (183 reviews) We had a fantastic stay at Kaani Palm Beach. Rooms are spacious, a/c works really well, good sized bathroom and a really comfortable large bed. The infinity pool on the roof is a great bonus with fantastic views, although it can get very warm in the afternoons. The Kaani sunbeds on part of bikini beach are free, and have an umbrella. The main attribute for the hotel however, is the staff. We met so many lovely members of staff, that I can't remember them all, but I would like to mention Azmeem, one of the managers who helped us when we had a problem with the room. In the restaurant, Anisur, Try, Farouk, MD Alom and Omelette man Rana (apologies for any spelling mistakes) were all absolute stars, I would like to mention more, but my memory lets me down. (629 reviews) The island is breathtaking. I stayed in an overwater bungalow and it was absolute perfection. Very clean, verrry comfortable. I recommend the buffet over the restaurant. The restaurant meals were very hit or miss. Some of the service was excellent, others seem miserable and distracted. Saad at the dive school is a fantastic teacher for those who are first timers to snorkeling. If youre a smoker, bring your own cigarettes as a pack is $35 at the bar. If your a non-smoker, be aware that people smoke in pretty much all public spaces. My suggestion would be to bring USD and tip great servers, concierge and bartenders well ($20) early in your stay - it will elevate your experience 100%. They will go out of their way to make your stay the most comfortable. (563 reviews) This is a hit and miss hotel... it just depends on your preference My pros: The property and room is stunning, the landscaping beautiful, the snorkeling is fab, bed comfortable, 20mins fron airport, Geethinka & Ram in the restaurant are brilliant! My cons: food not good, felt like it was run by accountants - all inclusive ended at 12pm day of departure - all inclusive options not good for drinks food & mini bar they were really tight, staff not happy and do not like working there, was supposed to get a bottle of bottle of sparkling wine for our honeymoon never got it, tried to arrange floating breakfast was told "no they cant do it" no alternative, food terrible ( i had to put in twice it was so bad ) Such a shame as it was our honeymoon and a zero birthday, wasnt ruined but dont think we will go back.
