I lived in Southern Vietnam for a year and frequently made trips up to Hanoi. I stayed at Royal palaceI every time. The staff makes you feel so welcome with smiles and friendly hellos. They are super nice and helpful. The hotel is located in the Old Quarter walking distance from most things. You can get a real feel for the city and the Old Quarter. This is a small hotel, and it isn't a 5 star hotel so don't expect it to be. But for the price, the service, the location, and everything else it is really unbeatable. Overall, Royal palace is a great stay don't miss the opportunity to meet the wonderful people who work there.

Staff are nice and friendly

A classy 5 star hotel with everything you could want available..fantastic huge room with nice kitchen and great view...fabulous swimming pool gym and sauna. Staff eager to assist and amazing breakfast buffet.. Jenny was most helpful . Ideal for families with children and couples like us.

A good place to stay, central to the Old Town. Clean and had everything we needed. The real standout was the staff. So helpful and friendly. They booked a street food tour for us and we were so well looked after.

Outstanding service from staff. Comfy mattress and pillows. Clean bathroom with excellent water pressure and temperature. Aircon works great. Recommend 100%

Generally good, great rooftop pool & bar & views but our room on the 2nd floor had issues 1 after the other, fire alarm went off for no reason, ceiling fan stopped working, aircon stopped working, de humidifier also stopped- so room was damp & smelt damp. Staff however fixed each issue as it arose promptly but would have preferred a room swap higher up!
