Central Switzerland Beach Holidays

The hotel itself is like a postcard of Switzerland. Traditional wood building. Big wooden floorboards, wooden walls in the bedroom. The room was like a movie set. I’ve given the 5 star review for the whole experience. I’m not comparing it to a Dubai 5 star but the whole thing was excellent. 5 minute walk to the train station or regular busses at the front door. Not only to take you into Lucerne but anywhere really. Public transport even took us to the top of mount Rigi. The hotel has a private area on the lake with sun beds and paddle boats. The whole area is kept clean. Breakfast was very nice. We got the room with the shared bathroom facilities which was never a problem. There are bathrooms on all floors if your floor is occupied but that happened once. If there was something I would recommend they improve it would be these facilities as they are a bit old and worn looking. We will definitely be back. Much cheaper than lesser hotels in Lucerne itself and very easy to access with public transport.

The staff were very helpful and kind. The wait staff at the restaurants were wonderful. The employees go out of their way to ensure the guests are happy and satisfied. The room and the view of Lake Luzern was great. The hotel grounds are currently under construction for upgrades.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is excellent — it’s just a short walk from Lucerne train station and very convenient for getting to the Old Town and exploring the city. The breakfast was also very good and exactly the kind of breakfast I enjoy. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall service was great. One thing to be aware of: one side of the hotel is directly next to the train tracks, so if you are sensitive to noise, I would recommend requesting a room on the other side of the hotel. Overall, a very convenient and pleasant stay, especially because of the great location and service.

Stayed 3 nights at the hotel. The strong points of the hotel are: wonderful view, nice sized rooms and very professional and helpful staff. Also, the free transportation to Lucerne was quick (16 minutes), convenient (30 meters from the hotel entrance) and free. It definately was a bonus. The rooms were a bit spartan and could benefit from some more color and a comfortable chair to sit on inside the room to view the truly spectacular view. We took a see-view with balcony room and the additional cost is very much worth it. The dining was satisfactory+. The breakfast and dinner was solid - but could have been more varied. There is a problem with bees on the terrace area - which takes away from the pleasure of eating outside. The pool was OK. Not really for swimming and the beach was pleasant if small. But, overall - we had a very nice stay and I do recommend the place highly,
