The hotel is perfect for business travel. The only call out are the bed and pillows. The bed is stiff and too firm and the pillows are too loose that they don’t provide support. Staff were helpful and courteous.

Loved everything but need to fix the outside elevator.

Clean and respectful

I was given the option to pay at the hotel. This is not the way it was handled. Two days before our reservations, I received an email asking to update my credit card to hold my reservations. It was downhill from there. I called the hotel directly and I was forced to pay the deposit for two rooms before arrival. Even after all that, the hotel still cancelled one of our reservations. They lied and said the card declined. Thats impossible. When I called them back, they were rude. Bunch of nonsense excuses. Come to find out they did the same to our friends too. We suspect is because we booked our rooms 6 months in advance and paid regular rate. They wanted to sell our rooms at a higher rate because there was a huge demand. That same room had tripled in price a month before. Scam artists. The AC was not working properly in any of the rooms. We has to lower it to 65 to feel anything. TV had sound but no pictures. Rude staff all around. They all looked miserable. Felt like we were in the twilight zone. The hotel is run down and old. Needs a lot of attention. Zero management around. I will never stay here. There were people outside of our room in the courtyard yapping ALL night. We couldn't sleep. Security never came to shut them up. Do yourself a favor and pick a different hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay at The San Diego ANCORA ! incredible rooftop pool with amazing views . Very Very Clean . took me a second to figure out the fob & door lock but it worked great ! Delicious food just blocks away in either direction gas lamp district one way, little Italy the other way. Its a 7 eleven store a few blocks away for a early coffee run. San Diego`s downtown is a beautiful spot BUTTTT it needs more green space for such a pet friendly community cause it has a punget smell of dog pee EVERYWHERE!!! I Highly Reccomed staying here ! Very nice place in the convient community of Cortez .

Family friendly, helpful staff, very clean rooms.

The first room I stayed in smelled like I was breathing in mold. I had to switch rooms because the smell was so bad. One of the days we were there the water was shut off all day. The front desk staff was rude when asked when the water would be on and handed me two water bottles and said I can take a shower with those. Very unprofessional. Would not recommend staying here!
