Restaurant food was great, both at breakfast and dinner. Definitely highlight of our stay. Room quiet and comfortable

A great gem of a hotel, this was our first visit and will return soon. The staff were really friendly and seemed happy to be there. The hotel was really nice and quite impressive, our room was lovely, a bit of wear and tear noted but nothing a lick of paint wont sort out, sitting in the bar area was very comfortable there is a good variety of food and beverages on offer, the food was delicious and you know its all freshly prepared, the breakfast was great, lots of choice, some options had a small surcharge, The grounds of the hotel were well maintained and there is ample parking available. The rooms were spacious and clean. Extra pillows available if you need them and there is lovely toiletries.

We traveled with other family, so we had two rooms. Check in was very rough. Once we finally found the correct building and desk, the two people at check-in were quite rude. When we got to the rooms, one of the room was lovely, lots of nice amenities. The other room had no amenities (no shampoo, conditioner, robes, etc); it also had a broken shower. When the desk was called, no one answered. Breakfast was a similar situation; the first morning, they were out of pastries, sourdough bread, potatoes, etc. The second day everything was there, and breakfast was lovely. The kids enjoyed the pool, and we enjoyed some hiking in the Cairngorms. Our checkout was much better than checking in; the gentleman was very friendly and helpful. Downtown Aviemore was quaint with shops, restaurants, and the train station. All were within walking distance. Overall, a very inconsistent, but average stay.

Despite a hiccup with my initial room allocation the manager upgraded our room to one more acceptable. The staff were very friendly and helpful in particular the kitchen staff who accommodated my gluten free diet requirements.

Nice quiet location. Very much enjoyed ducks around the property and tranquil setting. Pool was available and that was a bonus. Advised to bring toilet rolls and towels which were in the property. Lodges are dated. Hot tap in lodge 16 was more of a dribble. WiFi was reasonable and free.
