We’ve stayed in Nassau over 30 times and our first stay at British Colonial. Our check in experience was horrible with very poor customer service. Once we got to our room, we called for wine glasses to be sent up and they said they didn’t do that. We had to go to the bar. Other than that the rooms were great, the bar staff was excellent. Grounds are beautiful, beach and pools are great. Everything was very clean. Check out experience was quick and the different staff made all the difference. I believe it was just one bad apple, I wish I had gotten her name. We will stay here again and hopefully they’ll be more accommodating at the front desk.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) – Hidden Gem with Amazing Views & Hosts We had an awesome stay at A Stone's Throw Away—this place is a true hidden gem. The location is perfect—close to everything but still quiet and relaxing. The views are absolutely incredible, especially overlooking the ocean—great spot to sit, unwind, and just take it all in. What really made the stay stand out was the staff. Shan, Treasure, Chris, and John were all amazing—super friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything we needed. They genuinely made us feel at home and made the trip even better. THANK YOU! Everything was clean, comfortable, and easy, and we had zero issues during the stay. It was exactly what we were looking for. The Indian restaurant on site was excellent as well. I had the Curry chicken and rice. My wife had the Penne pasta chicken. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Nassau.

Everything about the trip was good, however you had to check every receipt for hidden charges or double charges. The infinity pool was freezing because the heater wasnt working but was never told that when booking 3 150.00 chairs. I was a struggle to get a refund. When checking in we paid 150.00 early check-in. It was only an hour before actual check-in that we were allowed to check-in. They would not give us a refund.

Beautiful room! Clean and new

The property is older and the cove rooms are worn and need to be refreshed as do the bathrooms. Big complaint about pool water temperature being too cold -- we did not swim at all in the pool, and it is the main reason for being there. Pool temps should be much warmer and advertised as other resorts do. We will not come back as other resorts have much warmer pool temps. Not enough beach chairs with sun covers at the cove beach or the pool. -- these 2 activities are the main reason people choose to come here -- so really needs to be addressed -- a truly lovely resort - if they can attend to these items

The hotel is very nice but has some issues that are not acceptable at this price point. The rooms are clean but could use some upgrades. The bathroom had cracked tiles, sink that drained very slow, one of the sinks didn’t dispense cold water, etc. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating and the ocean front views are breath taking. We did have some issues with our door not locking and unlocking upon arrival and the hotel also forgot to pick us up after one of the tours we booked through them. The food is ok. For this price we were expecting more.
