terrible experience. Firstly we didn’t get robes and towels upon check in which meant we had to return for these from the red block to query about them. Apparently you need to ask for these! During check in, the woman was dealing with us at the same time as taking phone calls from quests and whilst this was great multitasking, it made check in less personal and may have been why she missed explaining things to us and providing us with a pool bag. My biggest issue throughout this stay was the cleanliness of ideal park. Our room had someone else’s underpants left in there which was discussing. The sink and shower had someone else’s black hair throughout. However the cleanliness went beyond our room. There was cigarette buds all over the pool area, and if this was a windy day I would expect things to blow over in the wind but this was not the case. The garden room hot tub was filthy with a thick layer of muck so whilst we were looking forward to using this, the smell and the visible layer of dirt put us off. Staff particularly at the pool bar were miserable! Genuinely we didn’t spend money at the bar because it was uncomfortable asking them anything. Finally, despite the adults pool being just that, an adults pool, there were children in there playing with no one monitoring or checking the rules were being followed. Whilst I appreciate that kids will be kids and play, we chose this hotel as it clearly stated there were adult only areas and facilities but this was not the case
