Worst hotel experience ever! The elevator was broken throughout our entire stay, making things extremely inconvenient. To make matters worse, the guy at reception tried to charge me twice for the city tax, even though I had already paid it just 10 minutes earlier! Absolutely disappointing. I would not recommend staying here. I will NEVER comeback! I also felt terrible for the poor staff member who had to carry our 23kg luggages from the 3rd floor all the way down to the main floor. Worst experience!

Great location and clean tidy breakfast is basic but a good bolt hole for visiting thank you

We arrived to find the room had a very horrible sewage smell. We contacted the front desk and she attempted to remedy it by putting vinegar down the drain but unfortunately, this did not work. The smell was so bad that we were unable to stay and sit with this nauseous smell so we had to find an alternate hotel due to safety and health concerns. We attempted to get a refund after the fact from Hotels.com, but the property refused to refund the money because they blamed the smell on recent rains, even though the rains happened after we arrived, and not before, so their excuse was not valid. It’s typical of southern Europe. We live here and we know that they never like to take responsibility. It’s just how they are as a culture. So unfortunately, we’re gonna have to do a charge back on our card that we used to make the reservation. Before leaving this review, I gave them the opportunity to do the right thing but not surprising, they refused to do the right thing and refund our stay so apparently they are fine with their guests sleeping in the smell of sewage. This is the first time I’ve ever had to leave a review like this or leave a hotel so it’s disappointing that Hotels.com and the property did not do the right thing and don’t care about the health and safety of their guests. unfortunately this means I cannot use Hotels.com anymore on principal. It’s a shame when people just can’t do the right thing. On a sidenote, the staff we encountered on site were very friendly.

We stayed for a mother-daughter trip to celebrate my daughter’s 16th birthday, and the staff made it unforgettable. I arranged a birthday package, but they went above and beyond with flowers, cakes, champagne, fruit, chocolates, and balloons—including giant “16” balloons! My daughter was absolutely delighted. As a mother traveling alone with her daughter, safety was a concern, but we felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay. The central location is perfect, the restaurant is excellent, and breakfast was wonderful. Most of all, the staff were truly amazing—so kind and thoughtful. Highly recommended!

A stunning property in a very quiet and convenient location. Excellent breakfast, Wonderful staff. We loved the art and decor. The bathroom was fantastic and the room was exceptionally comfortable.

Unfortunately, our stay was a very disappointing experience from beginning to end. The property did not meet the standards we expected, and the overall experience was nothing like what was advertised. Upon arrival, we immediately noticed several issues with the property and felt uncomfortable staying there. The condition of the accommodation was disappointing, and there were concerns regarding cleanliness, maintenance, and the overall quality of the room. The property did not feel properly prepared for guests. Communication and customer service were also frustrating. We expected the staff/management to be responsive and helpful when concerns were brought to their attention, but the situation was not handled in a way that made us feel valued as guests. Ultimately, we decided that the best option was to leave and find alternative accommodations rather than continue our stay. For the price we paid, the experience was completely unacceptable. I would strongly recommend that future guests carefully consider other options before booking. Based on our experience, I would not stay here again or recommend this property to others.

Beautiful design hotel near the Spanish Step, with many restaurants nearby. The breakfast is outstanding - no lunch needed - and the dining room is welcoming and luxurious. The staff is multilingual, and very helpful and pleasant. We had a suite, and it was perfect, very spacious, and comfortable. The windows are noise-proof and the curtains keep the street light out. Also: a great bathroom with the iconic bidet. Some of the other rooms might be small, though. It's a historic building but there is an elevator. The only thing lacking is a lobby. We had a wonderful time and recommend it highly.

The only downside of our stay was the room temperature. The room was quite warm, especially at night, which made it uncomfortable to sleep. Other than that, we had a very pleasant stay, and this was our only complaint.

Wanted that “old Rome” feel. Got it! Wonderful!!
