Colombia is a beautiful country. Bogotà is secure and the Rose Zone where our hotel is located is in the middle of all the important shopping centers and is two hundred feet from the restaurant/disco etc., Carne de Res. this restaurant has to be the number one restaurant in Bogotà. The hotel can help you make arrangement for any tour you may want. The tour guides are punctual, courteous and nolegable. Overall a great experience.
Good overall. Hotel staff were very kind and when I made check out I forgot a bag and they bring it to me before my departure. Location is very good, close to the action, but not too close. My only observation is that it was a little noise (guess for the location of my room).
My husband and I spent four nights at this lovely hotel in May. The staff was gracious and very helpful in setting up rides and suggesting places to see. Unfortunately we do not speak Spanish so the fact that they spoke English was most helpful as there is not a great deal of English spoken in Bogota. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the common rooms, including the dining room where we had delicious breakfast each morning, were quite elegant.
We expect to return to this fascinating city and will be happy to stay here again.
This is an excellent choice for anyone . It's quiet, clean, comfortable... and above all else the staff is friendly and helpful in every respect. I would recommend this hotel for business travel, couples, or families with older children. Internet is included and signal strong throughout the hotel. Breakfast is also included with fresh breads, pastries and made to order eggs. Only one small complaint... Staff charged us an additional tax upon check out. This was not disclosed previously and further investigation seems to indicate that it is waived for tourists. If this is true, this should have been disclosed, so travelers understand the situation. While we were disappointed at our parting experience, our overall impression is very positive. General Manager Dianna greeted us each morning with a smile and sincere desire to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.
You pay for what you get with this hotel. The price is great for the location (it's in the middle of the Zona Rosa / T Zone) and the facilities, cleanliness and comfort are all fine. The breakfast is okay and the hotel staff are pleasant.
If you expect luxury, do not get a room here. Everything is dated and far from attractive, but you can't expect too much at this price if you want a comfortable double room.
Two things to note. Some reviewers mentioned street noise. This is because there are a lot of clubs in the area. I was concerned about this, but it was not a problem. However, what was a problem was noise inside the hotel. Maybe it was just my room, but the walls were paper thin and I was lucky I had relatively quite neighbours. Might be worth bringing ear plugs.
The other thing you should note is that it's not worth buying a "superior room". Having seen both, all you get is slightly bigger, equally ugly room, that has a sofa.
