From the moment we walked in the door we were so welcomed and looked after. The staff were exceptionally helpful, the room was impeccable with the most gorgeous view over the ocean, and the room service was so friendly and clean. Our room was spotless, with a lovely turn down service and treats every night. We absolutely can’t wait to visit again, thank you for the beautiful memories!

Absolutely blown away by this stunning hotel!The spacious, spotless room exceeded our expectations, and the culinary experience was nothing short of spectacular – every bite was a delight! An absolute gem of a hotel! The building is absolutely beautiful and feels like it has been there forever, even in the new parts. The room was spotless, the bed incredibly comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. They filter their water so you can use the taps no problem to brush teeth but they provide lots of bottled water as well. The location is perfect for exploring Stone Town, which is very safe to walk around on your own. The views of the ocean from the hotel are endless. And the staff goes above and beyond - everyone is helpful, always smiling and wants to make sure your stay is perfect. Our only regret is we didn't spend an extra few nights here.

Awesome location and view of the Indian Ocean. From our balcony we had direct view of the beach and the ocean. The room was spacious, with nice and comfortable furniture, and bedding. Very nicely decorated. Very clean and one of the best stays that we had. Staff were super nice and accommodating. We loved having drinks and appetizers outside on the deck. Live music added to the very pleasant atmosphere. We will definitely stay here again.

Our stay was wonderful. The room was very nice with an ocean view. My only complaint was that I asked for a "curling iron" and they sent up a straightener which is just the opposite...and when I plugged it in it didn't work. Also employees did not know that a USB port for charging our cell phone was built in to the back of the bedside table lamp...they seemed surprised when we pointed it out to them upon checking out. Overall the Hotel was beautiful!!!

This was a beautiful property. The staff was beyond amazing and so accommodating. My fiancée and I wanted to use the hotel to take our engagement photos. We spoke with management to sure it was ok and they allowed us to do so. They were so pleasant about it and some of the staff actually stepped in to help that day of the shoot. Aside from the shoot, they were just great people with such good hearts and wonderful culture. I loved it there! I'll be back.

It is not completely wheelchair accessible. In some places are quite steep ramps, or a few steps. Staff is always around to help. Shower and toilet in the room were not accessible at all —> had to improvise…

This is my favorite hotel in Zanzibar. I have stayed at the Park Hyatt Zanzibar last year and came back again this year. It is a wonderful hotel with great staff and quality accommodations. The rooms and the hotel is super clean, the food is the best and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is a plus- you can easily walk and explore Stone Town. I love the soaking bath after swimming and watching TV at the same time - very relaxing. I definitely recommend Park Hyatt Zanzibar.

I had a wonderful stay at Park Hyatt Zanzibar overall — the service, rooms, location in Stone Town, and breakfast were all excellent and met the Park Hyatt standard. However, the beach/oceanfront experience was very disappointing. I specifically paid extra for an oceanfront room, expecting serene views, but instead the shoreline is dominated by ugly docked boats and ferry traffic, which completely takes away from the view and atmosphere. The beach area itself offers little to nothing in terms of relaxation or beauty. It’s a great hotel, but if you’re booking for an oceanfront or beach experience, manage your expectations — it’s not what the upgrade suggests.
