"Arrival was difficult - difficulty contacting host, and on arrival they gave us a wrong room and moved us, then needed us to move again for our final night. Each apartment had wifi and a tv, and there was an AC unit in each bedroom. But there were no good instructions about using the place, no maps or helpful tools for visitors, and you needed to hunt for the single soap and 2 towels. Very basic."

"It all started with when we arrived and the hotel staff said we had no reservation. We showed them the printout of our reservation and the would not honor. The hotel is far from what's in the picture. It's vert dilapidated and unkempt. It smells really bad. "This is my favorite hotel in Zanzibar. I have stayed at the Park Hyatt Zanzibar last year and came back again this year. It is a wonderful hotel with great staff and quality accommodations. The rooms and the hotel is super clean, the food is the best and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is a plus- you can easily walk and explore Stone Town. I love the soaking bath after swimming and watching TV at the same time - very relaxing. I definitely recommend Park Hyatt Zanzibar. "
