We stayed a couple days before a typhoon was predicted to hit the islands and he was concerned about getting us off the island before it hit, even offering to have a friend take us if needed if the ferries got cancelled. The room is nice and the guest house has common showers and bathroom as well as a common kitchen where you can store whatever you need in the fridge or freezer, which ended up being very handy as almost every store closes before 6pm.. they also offer food there in case you couldn’t get any and I found that very thoughtful. Staff is super friendly and the food is great (no kidding, some of the best stuff we got on our 3 week journey in Japan).
