Beautiful location right on a river. The hotel grounds are really outstanding and what makes the place standout. The room was very comfortable and clean, with a (rare for the Sacred Valley) great, hot shower!
The breakfast was good and varied and there is really good food in the hotel restaurant. The hotel is about 10mins by car from the centre of Urubamba, away from the hustle and bustle.
Rooms were really nice with comfortable beds. Hotel was very quiet which suited us at the end of doing the Inca trail. Llamas in the garden were a bonus!
We absolutely loved our stay at Ty Piccola. The room is dropped dead gorgeous and the food in the restaurant was fantastic quality food for affordable prices. The breakfast buffet had no shortage of choices, the nicest we have had in Peru thus far on our trip. Will stay again
I dont usually write reviews but, this place just blew me away. It was such a beautiful hotel with amazing views all around it. The staff was incredibly attentive and it just felt like a paradise

The property is very nice. It’s well groomed and a wonderful place to hang out. The pool is wonderful and the spots by the river’s edge are inviting.
The “Spa Pool” is a nice option in the cool evenings or windy days but we were charged $20.00 USD to use it on the first afternoon of our arrival.
The staff was wonderful for the majority of our stay. Yeti, a very kind gentleman on staff there was quick to help us us in everything we needed. The reception desk is very attentive to arrange transport to other sites and destinations.
Now the reservations I have about recommending this place to others? Its location in Urubamba is closed to a lot of sites but it’s a rough 15 minute drive off the paved city street. After seeing what I saw and traveling in the general area, I might recommend Ollantaytambo as a base camp location. Taypikala seems more of a Tour Bus Big Group kind of place. However, it is a beautiful place, nice rooms and a wonderful breakfast
Taypikala is a beautiful hotel with so much greenery and areas to walk around the river and take in all the nature! Lovely restaurant in the hotel with several food options as well. Adderly and Victor were very lovely.

This is a beautiful property nestled at the foot of a mountain and the Urubamba river flows through it.
I loved this hotel! The place was beautiful, great view of the mountains, beautiful landscape. Definitely a great place to relax. The staff was also amazing! I received a few VIP perks: welcome chocolate mousse, access to a nice big jacuzzi and free upgrade to the suite with a huge jet bathtub. They also have a nice infinity pool and the hotel is close enough to town. Plus llamas and alpacas on their property for close up encounters.
This is hotel is gorgeous good service perfect to relax and enjoy the view you can see the mountains and the river. I wanted to stay for more time but I have all my tours set up.
We had a lovely stay at Taypikala thanks to the welcoming and very helpful staff (especially Louri)!! It was very quiet since it was the offseason. Every meal we ate at the hotel was delicious and we loved our massages at the spa. Since it was the offseason several things were under maintenance including the jacuzzi, the sauna, and the bar. Overall had an amazing time and will recommend to friends and family.
Beautiful property, staff was excellent and it was very quiet and restful. My biggest complain is that everything cost extra: 20$ to use sauna, 20$ to have a fire, etc. The restaurant could also use some more lunch options.
There were also large groups coming through for what I can only assume is spiritual retreat? So we felt a bit out of place as they would take over the space.
This is an elegant new hotel in a fabulous setting along the river. We were very excited to rest and recover there after the Inca Trail.
However, the vibe at this hotel is seriously off. It was almost empty (and it's a large hotel), and the staff were stiff and formal. We had to sign a waiver of liability for "flames coursing through the building" before we were shown to our large and comfortable room overlooking the river. We had heard good things about the restaurant, but again, it's a huge almost empty dining room, with odd seating where we were seated across the length of a table from each other - too far to comfortably converse. And the food was cold.
We also objected to what felt like extortion - the hotel is remote from town down a dirt road, and every time you try to leave the facility you must pay a fortune for a taxi that the hotel orders for you. For example, the taxi ride to the main road (about 2km) cost 25 soles, compared to 12 soles per person we paid for a two hour ride to Cusco in a colectivo. It's not so bad coming back from town where there is plenty of competition - we paid 6 soles for the tuktuk ride. But once you are at the hotel you are at their mercy. They seriously need to provide a free shuttle to the main road.
Likewise, the hotel charged us 50 soles per kilo of laundry, compared to the going rate of 8 soles per kilo in town. And then they sent the laundry into town with us in a tuktuk, for which we paid.
Beautiful hotel but unfriendly vibes.
This hotel is wonderful amazing 🤩 my 8 year old daughter and I enjoyed it so much , the pool was awesome ,they also have a tempered indoor pool , we used it once only because they charge you 25$ per hour but it was totally worth it , also there’s alpacas outside chilling around the premises, we got to feed a baby alpaca 🦙 and we pet other adult ones too, my daughter loved it , breakfast was included and it was delicious, a lots of options and the staff were very friendly, helpful, good and kind people like (Dianesa,Victor,Santiago and Kris) the views outside the hotel were beautiful 😍 specially the Rio Vilcanota right next to it, overall I absolutely endorse and recommend this hotel to everyone, I’d definitely come back next time!! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
This was a breathtaking view!!! Very remote location, you will travel deep in Urubamba but if you are looking for peace, this is the place. Gerry was magnificent, place is lucky to have him. My only complaints, wish their menu had more options and the beds were definitely on the hard side.
The room was modern, the infinity pool was cold, but nice. The grounds were beautiful & the llamas on the grounds was a nice touch. The food was also amazing for dinner.
