Beware! Host took my payment, then never provided lodging or check in information despite over five
This host completely ruined our family holiday. We paid for our stay a few months in advance and then communicated clearly with the host about our check in on the day of arrival. The host then was completely missing in action and never responded to any of our requests. We were unable to check into the property and had to pay for a hotel after wasting six hours talking with VRBO. At least VRBO paid for one night of hotel, but their customer service system is absolutely horrible. The total cost to us out-of-pocket, however, was more than the total price we agreed to with VRBO and the host. I am very displeased with how the host and VRBO handled the situation. I am a traveler with five-star reviews across the board over many years. I truly hope that no one else ends up in the same situation that we did due to the gross negligence of the host.
