If the countryside appeals, the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales National Park are nearby. Or simply stroll through the estate gardens exploring the small 17th century chapel as you go.
Well located for famous annual Yorkshire events like the Ebor Races, the Harrogate Flower Shows and the Great Yorkshire Show.
Whatever the season, it is a short walk from the front door to the River Ouse where public footpaths provide scenic walks. In the winter tuck up in front of the large log burner after a day out in York or Harrogate or exploring the countryside.
