Yamagata Vacation Packages
Yamagata is located some 180 miles (290 kilometers) from Tokyo, the country's capital.
Don't restrict yourself to Yamagata; the wider region features numerous natural and man-made attractions just waiting to be explored. Zao, is 20 miles (32 kilometers) to the northwest, while Shiroishi lies 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the northwest.
About 30 miles (48 kilometers) to the east of Yamagata is Sendai, an important regional city which is home to Osaki Hachiman Shrine, Sendai City War Reconstruction Memorial Hall and Aoba Castle (Sendai Castle). Miyagi Museum of Art, Sportsland SUGO and Miyagi Stadium are also good to visit.
Break down cultural barriers by practicing a few handy Japanese words and phrases. "Isshoni odorimasenka?" ("Would you like to dance with me?") is a good one to know. And, for "Where's the toilet?", you can use "Benjo wa doko desu ka?" Don't be shy, just give it a go!
Don't forget, if your plan is to be in Japan around the 23rd of December, Birthday of Emperor Akihito is observed then and many businesses may have irregular opening hours.
Everything has to end, but be rest assured, when you're ready to say "Sayōnara" to Yamagata, you'll have many special memories to take home.
