The owner of the hotel and brother are not sitting back and supervising their staffs, but are contributing their parts to take care of the guests directly. It was a wonderful stay at the beautiful and stylish ryokan with great onsen soup/water. The room was beautifully designed with modern furniture, and the garden was covered in snow while soaking in the stone bath /onsen was a treat. The vegetables are locally grown and very organic and we enjoyed the quality rice served; the meals were scrumptious!! It was more than what we expected, and everything went above and beyond to make our stay very memorable! I want to come back for another visit when I am in Yamagata the next time!
