Sweet Homes Vacation Getaways brings you this gorgeous, two story, cedar shingle home, an idyllic ocean-side retreat. Sitting on a bluff overlooking the mighty Pacific Ocean, the Casa Del Mar property is just across the street from easy to navigate steps leading down to miles of beautiful sandy beach. This is a perfect destination for a romantic getaway, but it is also a lovely choice for up to 6 guests. The Casa Del Mar is a beautifully appointed, bright and airy home. With stunning ocean views out most of the windows, you'll enjoy the sights, the sounds, and the fresh, salty smell of the sea. This home is full of small comforts and delightful amenities. The white kitchen has splashes of color and art glass lighting, a wall full of windows providing ample natural lighting, all the fundamental appliances, utensils, cookware, and dishes you'll need, and a cookbook collection, too! There are three lovely and comfortable bedrooms in Casa del Mar, the primary with a King bed and one with a Queen bed and another with a Queen size bed and a Twin bed, all with crisp, clean, boutique hotel quality bedding. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor of the home. There is a full bathroom with a tub and shower on this floor, too. Upstairs you'll find a nice surprise: the entire 2nd story of this home is a stunning suite. With a King sized bed, high ceilings, lush carpeting, a seating area...it's hard to imagine needing anything else. But this very special suite also has an enclosed sun-room looking out to the Pacific for your relaxation. It's a perfect place for morning coffee or a sunset champagne toast. The attached bathroom has double sinks, a claw foot tub, a walk-in shower, and lots of windows and natural light. You'll enjoy this upstairs suite morning and night! Casa Del Mar has lots of other amenities for guests to enjoy. There's a washer and dryer, free WiFi, cable TV, a DVD player and movies, and so much more! There's outdoor seating on the first floor deck, as well as a gas barbecue. When the surf and sand beckon, you have easy access via new concrete stairs that take you right down to the sandy beach. From there you can walk for miles and miles in either direction, jog on the beach, fly a kite, hunt for seaside treasures, or just relax under the sun or stars. You'll love this home, the beautiful beach it sits on, and its quiet and friendly little neighborhood just 3.5 miles North of Yachats. Casa Del Mar is a perfect place for a romantic vacation by the sea, but it also sleeps up to 7 guests if you're traveling with family or friends. Dogs are welcome on the main floor of Casa del Mar and they will have fun frolicking at the beach! Sleeps up to 6 - 3 Bedrooms. 1 King, 2 Queens, 1 Twin, and 2 baths. Vehicles: Licensed for 3 (Strictly enforced- No street parking allowed) Standard: 2 night minimum; Mid-Season: 3 night minimum; Summer & Holidays: 3-4 night minimum. It was centrally located to the places we enjoy visiting near Yachats, Oregon. It was suited to our needs and gave us a large kitchen/gathering place for our group. The master bedroom was relaxing and the large windows gave us an amazing view of the ocean. The only draw back was with such windows and open spaces was that the privacy at night was limited as the bedroom had stairs leading up to the master but no door. No door on the bathroom either. Their were some blinds thankfullly. This took some getting used to and a little planning. But viewing the ocean from the king sized bed or/and seating area made up for it. Proximity to the beach was close although access was a bit tricky. We enjoyed our stay and felt well cared for. ##### Gelynn D. The house it self was nice, but what wasn't broken needed repairs. Main level bathroom was awful, sink leaks, had to empty out a bowl under the sink everyday, shower leaks as well, mold in the shower. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware, but sprayer on sink broken, there's a crack on the floor from kitchen to living area, where the sub flooring is soft, about broke a toe. Laundry room was filthy, it's the catch all room for owners tools and junk, washer and dryer are about 20 years old, rusty and dirty. Back padio, BBQ was unusable rusty and filthy, Sweethomes brought out a used replacement 2 days later, DVD player also was broken, never replaced. There are a few chairs outside that's it, no table would have been nice to dine out back on the padio. If you want a house that has beach access and in fair shape then this is perfect for you. My daughters family rented a home 2.5 miles away, Huckleberry house was perfect and cost nearly 300 dollars less, 10 minutes from the beach. Wish I'd known that the homes are nicer, not being beach front would have went that route. Good luck with your rental as the pictures are not updated, so your not sure what you will get, as far as condition goes. also there is no cell phone coverage available, house phone stopped working after the 3rd day of our stay. Decor was a bit off, lots of crows gave my youngest daughter nightmares. ##### tammi r. Upstairs is so impressive I felt obligated to stay in it and not come downstairs. Very nice kitchen too. Big screen TV is a good thing, but there are so many remotes it was daunting trying to figure out which ones we needed to use. They should be labeled. This time we elected to utilize the hot tub. What a great option. We were prunes by the end of the weekend. The pups love the back yard. The house is our favorite. It is right on the beach, with great beach access. The home was great. Had all the modern amenities, and some fun quaint features. The fenced back yard was perfect for our pups. They loved it. The home is close to Yachats and Newport, and so much more. We love the local shops and the restaurants. The property is well maintained and ready to go. The property manager was friendly and helpful. Only recommendation we would make is have some dressers or closets to put clothing. There is no where to put your clothes for a long stay. Thanks again for such a great home. We will be booking again in the future.
