Nice and clean and comfortable! The storm made wild noises thru the fireplace, but a thunderstorm at the beach was crazy wild!

We stayed here from Sept. 10 to Sept. 24 and home was as described, clean and well stocked, close to all amenities and ocean view. Only issue was a few tight fitting interior doors that we could not close, management was informed so hopefully it has been fixed. We had a great stay and would recommend this home.

Great location and communication with property management. View was beautiful. Definitely can use a really good cleaning and we ended up using our own blankets because two of the comforters were dirty. The yard for our dog did the trick but it is small, she didn’t stay in the yard long.

Good Location

The house had a great location. My husband and I enjoyed being in between Florence and Newport. The house is a little aged but still nice. We didn’t spend a lot of time at the property but it was a comfortable place to come back to after our adventures. The only thing I would change is the furniture in the living room, maybe a sectional would work better. Also a foam topper for the mattress or upgrade to a bigger bed in the master bedroom would be nice. Other than that it was great.

Great Place with a View!

Hello, our stay was great! The home was clean & welcoming. Weather was great when we arrived-last day rained & made a cozy fire. Quiet neighborhood too. Just a few notes - have never stayed at a VRBO where you had to wash towels & put in dryer. I get it’s easy - but we did pay a housekeeping fee. Plus, old flowers with nasty water on table- tossed out. Also, how much effort is there to provide a box of tissues & a spare garbage kitchen bag? Use your booking fee to at least provide these to your guests.

For the most part it has everything you need although it could use an upgrade on a few items (linens and knives or maybe just a sharpener). It could stand to have a deep clean as well. We have usually stayed closer to the beach, but as much as we have loved those vacations, the peaceful neighborhood, friendly neighbors, and the pleasant surroundings of the cottage made this one of our best times at Yachats. The kitchen has pretty much everything you need, there is an excellent library right in the front room, and if you like puzzles, there are many beautiful ones to choose from. Someone has carefully chosen artwork to display, which added to the feeling that this has been a happy home and we are lucky to be able to visit.The fenced dog yard was great, but if you have a large dog, you'll want to take lots of walks with him/her as there is not enough space for a big dog to run and play. And because the house is on a bluff, the street is quite steep for cars and people. None of that diminished our time there. And the walk to town and the beaches below is a pleasure. There was a mechanical problem with the clothes dryer, but a call to Ocean Odyssey brought a repairman early the next day and we were back in business with a washer and dryer.The most wonderful thing was the view of the ocean, which we could also hear very clearly at night. We were there for a full moon, and that view of the full moon over the dark ocean from the balcony was one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen.

Great little house. It had everything we needed and within walking distance of beach, shops and restaurants . House was clean although could use an update on linens. Furniture was comfortable and view as great. Perfect home for a small family. I would definitely recommend and plan on coming back!

Absolutely amazing place to stay, i will be staying there again. Started my day out on the deck with a sunrise and ended my day in the same place with a sunset. A piece of Ocean heaven

The location and view were awesome! House very clean and nicely furnished with a homey feel. The dog run area is ok for a small dog, but not alot of room if you have a big dog. The only suggestion we would have is access to more towels and washcloths, and a guide on how the TV/dish work. The lowest volume level on TV is very loud and we were not able to get it any lower.

The house is a comfortable size and in a good location with ocean view, however the property inside and out needs a thorough deep cleaning. Bathroom floors were not moped and the rugs were not laundered. The bed linens might have been cleaned, but there was a stain on the master bedsheet (yuk). Also the rug in the master bedroom is a tripping hazard as it bulks up! Lots of dirt under the rugs in living and dining area and garbage under master bed. Towels were placed in odd spots, including under the sink with cleaning supplies and not all folded, so we washed all of them before use, as we could not trust they were clean. Items in closets were not neatly stored and extra blankets were waded up on the floor. There was open food left in kitchen cupboards from previous occupants and we had to spend time cleaning various drawers and some of the refer before use. I read previous reviews, most saying home was very clean, but since we did not have that experience I am hoping this review will give the owners some insight and the house will be thoroughly cleaned for future occupants, and maybe someone needs to inspect it to be sure it is ready to rent. Beside all this, we had a wonderful time with family and the weather was perfect!
