"Convenient for early flight"

"We had booked a Grand Tower Horizon Club Premier Bund view room but when we arrived we were given a free upgrade to a suite room, which had a fantastic view of the Bund and the Oriental Pearl. The hotel has old world charm and feel very luxurious - we have stayed a several Shangri La Hotels and this was definitely one of the best. The room was quiet so it felt like a very peaceful haven - good for relaxing in after two weeks travelling around China. We didn't use any of the restaurants or facilities, but we did have access to the Horizon Lounge on the 29th floor. The lounge was great - very good service from the staff with good options for breakfast. We also went for Afternoon tea and they also had a good selection of food and drinks in the evening from 5:30-7:30pm. If we return to Shanghai, I would definitely stay at the Shangri-La Pudong again."

"As an airport hotel having a good restaurant for convenience is essential. Unfortunately, they do not. The restaurant wasn’t busy but we must have waited an hour for food, as did many others in there. When the food arrived, one dish was cold. There was no urgency with the replacement, by the time it came, I my partner had finished eating and then had to wait for me to eat. I did say I would not pay for food which they did immediately accept. "

"This hotel is in a very convenient location. There is a direct metro line going to airport and high speed rail station. The hotel is a half block away from metro station. The staff of the hotel is very friendly and helpful."

"Very clean property with free airport shuttle although not super convenient as it’s once per hour. We just missed the pick up and didn’t want to wait a whole hour for a 10 minute taxi ride. Good breakfast and accommodating staff. "

"An excellent location for venturing on foot to the Bund, the main strip, and the historic colonial centre of Shanghai, with tons of local eateries and stores. The hotel has great, modern, comfortable rooms, and it is well-priced. However, I travelled to Shanghai a few times about 10 years ago, and I was surprised by the low service levels and the English proficiency of the young staff at all the hotels I stayed in on this trip."

"I always stay here when in SH because its close to the Maglev station. So commuting in/out of PVG is convenient. Its close to the Kerry Parkside Shopping mall and there are other dining areas. If you're into walking or running outdoors, you have the Century Park just crossing the street. Breakfast is just OK. Shower in the tub needs to change. They have a laundry room (free) +++"
