A great property with lovely facilities and modern, clean styling, Wonderful location with the Abbey over the road and a pretty little town full of boutiques and shops a short walk away. Everything you'd need for a homestay style getaway with a well stocked (for utentsils) kitchenette in the room. Only small issue is the front main door needing to be slammed to close properly when people were leaving to go out.

It started badly when, upon entering the room, there was a smell of cigarette smoke. Clearly, the room should have been decommissioned until it could be properly cleaned and fumigated. As the property operates on an automated basis (the key is retrieved from a key safe with a code supplied by email), there was no receptionist on duty. Luckily, we managed to find a helpful cleaner who was still on the premises, who was able to arrange for an alternative room. Although better, the room did not excite; the net curtains were torn and dirty, there were empty soap/shampoo dispensers, the toilet and bathroom ceiling were both stained. However, I would say that the kitchenette was of a good standard. A telephone number and email address are supplied for any issues. However, the telephone is operated by AI and, no matter which selection you make, you are fobbed off by patronising and unhelpful comments, never getting to speak to a real person. Similarly, I sent an email but never received a response. We paid for the room weeks in advance. However, a few days before our stay, we received a demand for £96 deposit, to cover possible damage and theft, refundable on the day of departure. We did not receive notification of repayment until 6 days after we left. Instead of leaving the deposit as “pending” on your account, as is normal, it is fully processed meaning it takes even more time to refund. In short, despite visiting the area on a regularly, we shall not be using Number 10 again.

Lovely view of the Abbey

Really enjoyed our stay. The setting is remarkably quiet considering it is so close to the village centre and opposite the Abbey. The concierge was really helpful and always cheerful! We had some issues with parking in the limited Hotel spaces but there is plenty of free parking close by. Would definitely stay there again.

Third time booking this hotel. Always lovely, clean, warm (radiators are always on before you arrive so the room is lovely and warm to get easy in). A lovely lady from concierge called me today to confirm my booking and ensure we had the details for the contactless check-in (access codes for the front door and key box) as we were due to arrive after she had left. Super friendly and welcoming. Room is lovely and clean, large comfy bed, clean bathroom and shower and even a space for cooking should you need it. The large floor length mirror is an excellent addition (missing in many hotels) as you can fully check your outfit and even get some nice photos before you leave. Parking is limited on the property but there is ample on-street parking.

Lovely stay at No 10.

We enjoyed our stay at No 10, the room was first class, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The kitchen area was really useful at breakfast time. It was in a lovely location, next to the Abbey and an easy short walk into the town. The only comment I would make was that the staircase could do with new paint and carpet. Overall a really enjoyable stay, and the receptionist was very welcoming and helpful.

First time in Wymondham and No 10 The Abbey was the perfect place to stay to explore the lovely town. Had a twin room and very comfortable beds. Kitchenette in the room which was handy. Limited parking but we found a space. Room was clean and fairly quiet.

Great find

Wonderful facility. All rooms have a mini kitchenette facility with full size fridge, hob and oven. As I was working nights this suited me perfectly. Was a great find for me and I will 100% stay here again. The town was just around the corner with a Morrisons a 5 minute drive away. Easy to access and helpful hosts on hand if needed. Felt like home.

Beyond fabulous

Completely overwhelmed by the whole experience. Beautiful accommodation, absolutely faultless. If you are coming to Norwich you must stay here, you will not be disappointed, it's fantastic.
