Nice fluffy towels and good quality beds and bedding. Kitchen well equipped with pots, pans, scales and even a slow cooker which was beneficial to use after a long walk. Lovely walks from the cottage and a good base. Really good to have parking too in the middle of Bowness. It is located walking distance from Lake Windermere and quaint downtown Bowness. The cottage was clean, cozy and comfortable. It was much larger than we expected. We were so thrilled with this place. The only problem was that VRBO and a different booking agency double booked the cottage. At 10:00pm a sweet couple knocked on the door wondering if we could help them find the key. Thankfully they found a second option after looking for an hour wirh us, but had change all of their plans. This was very strange and has never happened to us wirh VRBO.
