All on the Ground Floor: Open plan living space. Living area: 24" Freeview TV, Electric Woodburner Dining area. In an elevated position on a grassy bank in front of the elegant former Priory Hotel, Gone sailing shares direct access to the lake, approached down a leafy wooded lane, which brings you right to the water’s edge and private jetty. Sitting between the popular Lakes villages of Windermere and Bowness, the property offers guests an ideal location to make the most of this much loved area. We even saw some small roe deer. 10 min walk to the jetty and a refreshing dip in the lake. The location is a 15 min walk up to Windermere or 25 min to Bownes. Buses can take you everywhere to explore the beauty of this part of the Lake District. We shall return! ##### carola d. We enjoyed the quiet location with a view of the lake. We thought although the cottage was mainly clean, we had one little issue as the kitchen area, utensils, cooker etc could have been cleaner as one of the party has coeliac disease, so we needed to ensure that everything being prepared was highly cleaned (to avoid cross contamination). We enjoyed the walk into the towns and the nearby walks, especially down to the lake side. We would recommend this to someone wishing to use this as a base in a quiet location. We had a lovely week. The outlook from the cottage is wonderful, in good weather we could have sat there all day!
