It's in a great location with parking too! We did lots of hill walking during the day and enjoyed lovely strolls down to the Lakeside in the evenings - 5 mins walk! Previous occupants have said noise was an issue but it wasn't for us and we enjoyed some lovely sunshine so we had the windows open most of the time! I dropped to 4\* for cleanliness due to cottages.com contacting us on arrival day to say a bed sheet/duvet cover needed to be changed - however the sheet/duvet cover both had stains on them but you could tell they had been cleaned well so it wasn't an issue for us but something the mgmt should take on board as constructive criticism. Could do with a leaflet in the info pack re the cooker/hob too. Great Apartment, Great Location and Definitey Recommend it!! ##### susan n. The only problems we found was the traffic noise as the bedroom was facing the main road and the Electric Shower didn't work properly as it was either too hot or too cold. The Hollies is a lower floor flat above the Quarry rig shopping area. It's is clean with plenty of space for two people. It is centrally located within short walking distance of all that Bowness has to offer. The parking instructions and location of the flat is not clear and could be improved. Further to this the instructions state that the parking is not designated but 'in the quarry rig parking area itself'. However if you turn right on entering the car park and drive behind the flats at the far end there is a designated parking slot for this flat. The number is on a plack on the wall. There is some road noise during the night and the flat is above a restaurant which closes around 11pm. The only issue we had was the low water pressure which affects the shower. However that means more time to enjoy the lakes. Water pressure in the shower is relatively low. Other than these points it is a great little flat a short walk from the lakeside. There is a restaurant below the flat, but heard very little noise from it.
