About this property

Plum Cottage - An 18th Century cottage on the edge of Wimborne

  • One of a pair of 18th century gardener’s cottages set within a country estate, Plum Cottage exudes serenity. Its country chic style along with breath-taking views towards the River Stour and cricket pitch beyond provide a great hideaway to explore the stunning Dorset countryside. Chalk white walls, Farrow & Balls paints and re-upholstered vintage furniture provide the perfect space in which to relax and unwind.
An elm dining table in Plum Cottage seating ten is perfect if taken with Apple Cottage and all want to dine together.

Plum Cottage sleeps six guests - but with a special twist, as the third bedroom is the Shepherd’s Hut in the garden. With a double bed and a wood burning stove, nothing could be cosier.

Foodies will be delighted to receive a welcome basket of local, homemade treats on arrival. Expect to be greeted with freshly baked bread from our local bakery, locally sourced free-range eggs, home-baked treats, locally produced jam and of course milk in the fridge and a selection of Dorset teas and ground coffee.

Apple Cottage is also available to book at this location.

    Additional Information:
Plum Cottage can be booked alongside Apple Cottage to accommodate a maximum of 12 people. Discounts available when booking both cottages together - please call to discuss.

A high chair and travel cot is available on request (please provide own cot linen).
One well behaved dog welcome (small additional charge). Please bring your own dog basket.
